آزاد كشمير تصف نفسها بأنها "دولة تتمتع بالحكم الذاتي تحت السيطرة الباكستانية" ، فى حين يوصف جيلجيت بالتستان فى نظام الحكم الخاص بيها على أنه مجموعة من "المناطق" ذات الحكم الذاتي.[41][42][43] لا تعتبر دى المناطق فى العاده ذات سيادة، لأنها لا تفي بالمعايير اللى حددتها النظرية التصريحية للدولة (على سبيل المثال، لا تسمح قوانينها الحالية لهم بالمشاركة بشكل مستقل فى العلاقات مع الدول التانيه). يتم تنفيذ الكتير من وظائف الدولة عند المناطق (مثل الشؤون الخارجية والدفاع) على ايد باكستان.[42][44][45]

The territory of the ROC is claimed in whole by the PRC.[i] The ROC علاقات تايوان الخارجية under a variety of pseudonyms, most commonly "تايبيه الصينية" and in the WTO it has full membership.
