جمهورية الصين الشعبية (صينية متبسطة: 中华人民共和国 صينية تقليدية: 中華人民共和國) معروفة بـالصين, هى اكبر بلد فى شرق اسيا من حيث المساحة و اكبر بلد فى العالم من حيث عدد السكان الذي وصل الى 1.3 بيليون يعني خمس سكان العالم. الصين هى جمهورية شيوعية يحكمها الحزب الشيوعي الصين بنظام حكم الحزب الواحد. سماها الأوروبيون "كاثاى" فى العصور الوسطى و بالذات الجزء الذي يقع فى شرق نهر يانجتسى منقولة عن ماركوبولو. نهر امور او نهر هيلونج جيانج (بالصينية: 黑龙江) هو تاسع أطول نهر فى العالم (4,352 كم) و يصب فى المحيط الباسيفيكي و يرسم الحدود الطبيعية بين روسيا و الصين. عاصمة الصين هى بكين.
