يوليوس قيصر (جايوس يوليوس قيصر) 13 يوليه 100 ق م ^[1] -- 15 مارس ، 44 ق م ،^[2] ,كان قاد عسكرى و زعيم سياسى رومانى. لعب دور حاسم فى تحويل الجمهورية الرومانية ل الإمبراطورية الرومانية.

يوليوس قيصر كان سياسى شعبى و شكل مع بومبى و كراسوس اول حكم ثلاثى اللى حكم الجمهورية الرومانية بشكل مش رسمي. و هيمن على الحياة السياسية لسنين.و غزو يوليوس قيصر لفرنسا مدد العالم الروماني لبحر الشمال ، و بردو غزوة بريطانيا كانت أول غزو رومانى لبريطانيا فى 55 قبل الميلاد.

قيصر اتولد في أسرة أرستوقراطية. ادعى النسب من أسطورة طروادة الامير إينيس ، و ادعى انه ابن الآلهة ڨينوس.^[3]
