According to the library, there are no known copyright restrictions on the use of this work. تعتبر مكتبة الكونغرس أنَّ الصُّورة في النِّطاق العامِّ لأنَّ حقوق تأليفها ونشرها قد نفِدت في العام 1986م. ولكنَّ ورثة كارل فان فاتشتين طلبُوا استعمال "الحفاظ على سلامة العمل" عند استعمال صوره، أي عدم تلوينها أو قصِّها، بالإضافة لنسبة العمل إلى مُصوِّره بالشَّكل الصَّحيح.

I am somewhat disturbed by the fact that this picture is dated 1947 and Barnard died in 1938. Or is is just me, being weird? Carptrash 19:46, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

My guess is that it is a typo, and the real date is 1937. Nov. 4, 1947 seems too exact for a publication date, but that is another possibility. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 10:25, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
