وصف
English: This food consists of corn flour paste, vegetables commonly called huckleberry prepare with a good quantity of egusi with little or no salt. the corn flour paste is served hot in very large balls from grass bowls of various sizes. since these bowls have no covers, plantain or banana leaves warmed over a hot flame to make the flabby, are used as covers. The vegetable is served in an enamel bowl in between the dishes you find a calabash of what is locally called 'mukal'. it is a very thick drink made from fermented guinea corn or some kind of corn that resembles millet. it is a very viscous fluid and it is difficult to take it in good measure, but it is the drink for such occasions.

Maize is grown locally and the flour made from the dried corn consists of the main ingredient of the Kom man's food. Kom is a tribe in the North west English-speaking Region of the Republic of Cameroon. The vegetables that accompany the fufu corn are also farmed by the indigenes. The Vegetable after harvest from the farm is usually well selected to separate it from some grass that might have found its way into the harvest as well as getting rid of the insects that might have stuck to the vegetable. After that it is washed and boiled, after some 15 to 20 minutes palm oil is added to it and some little salt. originally no salt was put into the vegetables. Once the vegetable is ready it is served with the fufu corn. Usually after grinding the corn into powder it is sieved using a fine sieve to separated the less ground particles. This is to make the final product smooth in the mouth. Any final products with particles or balls of corn flour is considered bad cooking. Some water is boiled for some time and when it starts boiling the powder is poured bit by bit and continuously stirred to make a homogeneous mixture. when it is considered ready it is served as described above. Among the dishes in the picture is another dish made of some kind of beans, this is also for entertainment during this particular event which is the final stage of a traditional wedding.

In another basket there are sweet yams also grown locally. as the name implies they are very sweet and could be served with or without soup. in the other container is fried corn and groundnuts. all these consist of delicacies served only such a great occasion as a traditional wedding.
