اللغه الانجليزى (English نطق: /ˈɪŋɡlɪʃ/[3]) هى لغة جرمانية
هوثالث أكتر اللغات الام انتشار فى العالم (309–400 مليون انسان بحسب تعداد).
تستخدم اللغة الإنجليزية على نطاق واسع كلغه تانيه و كلغة رسمية على نطاق واسع لكثير من دول العالم، خصوصا فى بلاد الدول الكومنولث و كتير من المنظمات الدولية. و انتشار اللغه الإنجليزية الكبير فى العالم بسبب التأثيرات العسكرية والاقتصادية والثقافية والعلمية والسياسية للامبراطورية البريطانية و من بعدها الولايات المتحدة الامريكية.
