سكة حديدية فائقة السرعة هيا من أنواع سكك حديد نقل الركاب و اللى تعمل بسرعة اكبر من سرعة حركة السكك العادية.^[1]^[2]^[3] التعريف الدقيق يشمل القطارات اللى توصل سرعتها ل200 كم/ساعة (125 ميل/ساعة) و اكتر فى اوروبا، و فى أمريكا سرعة 145 كم/ساعة (90 ميل/ساعة). دى القطارات مصممة لنقل الركاب إلا أنها كمان تنقل بعض أنواع خدمات الشحن.
